About This Blog

Global warming is a serious threat and a problem we all need to be addressing. It has far reaching consequences and the environment that suffers the most. We all know what can be done to reduce our impact on the environment; reduce use of plastics, carbon emissions etc, but the environment has already experienced serious damage. It is now up to us to help repair the environment we have damaged. There are people and organisations out there who are working hard to do this but they need our help. This blog is here to promote their causes and encourage the public to get involved.

“All across our planet, crucial connections are being disrupted. The stability that we, and all life, relies upon is being lost. What we do in the next 20 years will determine the future for all life on Earth.”

Sir David Attenborough in Our Planet

About Me

My name is Sean McCabe, I am from Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. I am currently in fourth year journalism at Rhodes University, Makhanda/Grahamstown.

For the last nine years of my life I have practically lived in Makhanda, and in that time I have grown close to the town. Beyond this,  my home town is considered a rural town which means I have a great appreciation for nature and its importance in our lives. The closeness I have developed with Makhanda and my appreciation of nature pushed me to create this blog.
